The foundation of PB rests on a steadfast belief in a modern, transparent rule of law and individual liberty. Their worldview is shaped by an optimistic progressivism: the state should not dictate, but rather empower citizens through education and social security to foster equal opportunities. They envision Bulgaria as an integral, active member of the European Union and advocate for a secular, inclusive society that actively opposes corruption and entrenched power structures.
PB's agenda is sharply focused on digital transformation, expanding renewable energy infrastructure, and implementing profound judicial reforms. The party primarily targets the urban, well-educated middle class, as well as the younger generation advocating for Bulgaria's Western alignment. In social policy, they champion modern welfare systems, while economically, they prioritize innovation and the dismantling of bureaucratic hurdles to attract foreign investment and stem the outflow of skilled professionals.
Strategically, PB operates as a reformist force dedicated to modernizing the parliamentary system from within. They frequently assume the role of a moral arbiter, seeking collaboration with other pro-democratic forces to dismantle the dominance of oligarchic structures. In doing so, PB consistently emphasizes adherence to rule-of-law standards and judicial independence, which positions them as a natural partner for European institutions, but also brings them into constant conflict with populist factions.
