The frontrunner in the current PolitPro Poll Trend for the Flanders General Election is VB with 26.6%, followed by N-VA: 22.3%, Vooruit: 12.9%, CD&V: 12.6%, PVDA/PTB: 10.1%, Groen: 7% and OVLD: 6.9%. Other parties secure 1.6% of the votes.
The PolitPro Poll Trend offers more than a mere snapshot. We aggregate data from all relevant polling institutes, creating a weighted average for the Flanders General Election. While the classic hypothetical election question ('Who would you vote for if an election were held next Sunday?') inherently fluctuates due to methodological variations, our poll trend provides a statistically robust data foundation. It smooths out short-term outliers, revealing true political dynamics over time.
By combining multiple data sources, we minimize the risk of random effects. Each survey carries a statistical margin of error (typically between 1.5% and 3%). Our Flanders poll check precisely indicates whether a party's gain signifies a sustainable development or simply falls within a single institute's statistical uncertainty.
The calculation employs a transparent mathematical model: Current polls receive higher weighting than older data. Furthermore, institutes' historical predictive accuracy is incorporated to compensate for methodological biases. The result is a valid trend line, accurately reflecting Flanders' party system.
The PolitPro Score assesses polling reliability based on election accuracy and deviations from the overall trend. Significant outliers in party values lead to deductions, as they may indicate systematic over- or under-representation. The maximum score is 100.
The next General Election in Flanders is expected in 2029. Until then, current election polls serve as the primary barometer for the political climate in Flanders.
