The party's worldview is rooted in the "Great Replacement" theory and concerns over France's cultural decline. It views the French nation as a community of shared destiny, whose existence is threatened by mass immigration and Islam. Its conception of humanity is exclusive and culture-centric: integration is deemed insufficient, with a demand for complete assimilation to Christian-Western values instead. In this framework, the state acts as the protector of national identity.
The party's agenda is characterized by an uncompromising anti-immigration policy, including calls for "remigration" and an end to family reunification. Economically, the party advocates liberal approaches such as tax cuts and deregulation to strengthen entrepreneurship. This strategy aims to forge an alliance between affluent conservatives and patriotic working-class voters. In education, it seeks a return to authoritarian, traditional values and a strict separation of religion and state (laïcité).
Strategically, Reconquête occupies the political space to the right of the Rassemblement National, seeking to shift public discourse further right through intellectualized provocation. It acts as an ideological accelerant, radicalizing issues such as identity and demography. While formally adhering to the rule of law, the party often advocates for exceptional legal measures to circumvent international conventions, like the European Convention on Human Rights, in favor of national sovereignty, making its relationship with democratic institutions fraught with tension.
