Alliance Germany
Alliance Germany is a political party founded in November 2022 in Germany, positioning itself as right-conservative and economically liberal. It emerged from a collection movement and aims to fill a gap in the political spectrum between the CDU and the AfD. The party values qualified candidates, scientific advice, and political integrity. Through the merger with the voter association Citizens in Anger, Alliance Germany has been represented in the Bremen Parliament since June 2023 with seven representatives.
Foundation and Background
Alliance Germany was founded in November 2022 in response to the drift between the CDU and the AfD. The party sees a gap in the liberal-conservative spectrum and wants to fill it with a new, serious political force. It emphasizes the importance of qualified candidates, scientific advice, and integrity in politics.
Political Orientation and Goals
The party positions itself as right-conservative and economically liberal. It advocates for less state, lower taxes, and less bureaucracy to increase the purchasing power of citizens. It also demands a guarantee of education to improve the education system and emphasizes the importance of the principle of performance in schools.
Structure and Presence
Alliance Germany is represented in all German federal states with its own state associations. In June 2023, the party merged with the voter association Citizens in Anger, gaining seven seats in the Bremen Parliament. Additionally, since March 2023, it has had a seat in the Saxon State Parliament due to the defection of a former AfD representative.
Current Developments
Since October 2023, Alliance Germany aims for a merger with the Values Union to strengthen its position in the civic spectrum. However, the ongoing discussions remain open-ended.
