The Third Way

The III. Path is a far-right and neo-Nazi minor party in Germany, founded in 2013. It represents ethnic-nationalist and anti-Semitic positions and is monitored by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution. The party is primarily active in southern Germany and has about 800 members nationwide. Its 10-point program demands, among other things, Germany's withdrawal from NATO and the EU, as well as the creation of a 'European Confederation'.

Formation and Background

The party 'The III. Path' was founded on September 28, 2013, in Heidelberg. It emerged from former members of the NPD and the banned 'Free Network South'. The party considers itself national-revolutionary and is ideologically oriented towards the Strasser brothers, who were active in the early NSDAP. Its membership is estimated at around 800, with most supporters active in Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Saxony.

Ideology and Goals

The III. Path represents a neo-Nazi ideology with strong ethnic and anti-Semitic elements. Its 10-point program demands, among other things, Germany's withdrawal from NATO and the EU, as well as the creation of a 'European Confederation'. Additionally, the party opposes the stationing of foreign troops on German soil and calls for the repatriation of all German soldiers from abroad. It advocates for a 'spatially bound economy' and demands the nationalization of banks and public service companies.

Activities and Monitoring

The party is primarily active in southern Germany and tries to spread its ideology through campaigns and events. It maintains contacts with other far-right groups and individuals. Its members primarily recruit from the neo-national socialist spectrum, so many party supporters can be considered violent-oriented. Due to its activities and ideology, the III. Path is monitored by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution.
