ANTARSYA is a Greek alliance of radical left parties. It pursues a revolutionary, Marxist-Leninist, and ecological agenda with the aim of ending capitalism and Greece's EU membership through social upheaval.

Values and Worldview

The foundation of ANTARSYA is built on the conviction that capitalism as a system is beyond reform. Its ideology is deeply rooted in revolutionary Marxism and Trotskyism. The worldview is shaped by an irreconcilable class struggle: the state is perceived as an instrument of the ruling class, contrasted with a model of workers' self-governance. The alliance defines national sovereignty through liberation from the dictates of international financial markets.

Policy Priorities

ANTARSYA's agenda focuses on a radical rupture with the existing economic order. Core demands include the nationalization of banks under workers' control and the unilateral cancellation of public debt. Its target audience comprises the precariat, radicalized students, and the industrial working class. The alliance advocates for Greece's withdrawal from the Eurozone and NATO, alongside uncompromising environmental protection as a critical systemic imperative.

Role in the Political System

Strategically, ANTARSYA sees itself as an extra-parliamentary vanguard and a corrective force to the established left. While other parties pursue participation in government, the alliance primarily operates through mobilization in the streets and within trade unions. It maintains a critical stance towards the rule of law, often dismissing parliamentary democracy as a facade for capitalist interests. The goal is not co-governance, but rather the overthrow of the current system in favor of a socialist order.
