The Movimento Associativo Italiani all’estero (MAIE) was founded in 2007 in Argentina by Ricardo Antonio Merlo. The party emerged from a split from the Associazione Italiane in Sud America (AISA) and aims to represent the interests of Italians living abroad, particularly in South America.
