Katram un katrai (KuK) is a populist and value-conservative party in Latvia. The group positions itself as a protest movement against the political establishment, combining pronounced nationalism with economically liberal promises.

Values and Ideology
KuK's foundation is built upon a deep distrust of state institutions and traditional elites. Its worldview is highly polarized: on one side stands the 'common people,' and on the other, a supposedly corrupt ruling class. The party champions a traditional view of family and human values, emphasizes the sovereignty of the Latvian nation-state, and rejects any significant transfer of powers to international organizations like the European Union. It skillfully exploits societal divisions to position itself as the voice of the unheard.

Political Priorities
The party's agenda specifically targets those disadvantaged by modernization, the rural population, and citizens who feel abandoned by the state. Economically, KuK advocates for tax cuts and deregulation to stimulate the domestic economy. Socially, it prioritizes the protection of Latvian identity and culture, alongside a restrictive immigration policy. During global crises, the movement further distinguished itself through its fundamental criticism of state restrictions and mandates, thereby effectively mobilizing protest voters.

Role in the Political System
Within the Latvian party system, KuK occupies the role of an unpredictable outsider. Its strategy focuses on polarization and the emotional mobilization of its base through social media. Its relationship with the institutions of the rule of law is ambivalent: while formally recognizing the constitution, its rhetoric often sharply attacks the judiciary and public media to undermine their credibility. This complicates its ability to form coalitions with established forces, frequently relegating the party to a fundamental opposition role.
