The PVM's foundation rests on the conviction that ecological sustainability is inextricably linked with democratic freedom. Its worldview is deeply rooted in the European Green Deal philosophy: it perceives the protection of natural resources not as an impediment, but as a catalyst for economic modernization. Its humanistic vision is characterized by individual responsibility and global solidarity. The state is understood as a regulator that, through social justice and ecological guardrails, must safeguard the livelihoods of future generations.
The PVM's agenda prioritizes a substantial expansion of renewable energy to bolster Moldova's energy independence. It advocates for an ecological agricultural transformation, the protection of water resources (especially the Dniester River), and robust waste management. Its target audience primarily includes urban, young, and educated voters, as well as stakeholders in organic farming. The party actively combats corruption and champions judicial reform, viewing transparency as a prerequisite for effective environmental protection.
Within Moldova's political system, the PVM assumes the role of a programmatic bridge-builder. It acts as a pro-European corrective force, pushing for alignment with EU environmental standards. Strategically, it positions itself as a centrist force that connects radical ecological demands with the objective of European integration. Despite its challenging standing in a polarized party system, it serves as a crucial link to the international green movement and strengthens civil society against oligarchic structures.
