The party primarily targets young people in precarious employment and the disillusioned working class. A defining characteristic is their vehement rejection of the Prespa Agreement, the name deal with Greece. They advocate for withdrawal from NATO and a reorientation of foreign policy, which sets them apart from almost all other political actors in the country.

Levica operates as a fundamental opposition force, deliberately disrupting parliamentary discourse through provocation and obstruction to expose the "corrupt political elite."
