Razem's foundation is built upon a modern, Nordic-inspired understanding of social democracy. The party views the state not as a bureaucratic impediment, but as an essential guarantor of social justice and individual liberty. Its humanistic-collectivist worldview posits that freedom, for Razem, only truly exists where fundamental material needs are secured. Ideologically, it sharply distinguishes itself from the neoliberalism of the post-transformation era, emphasizing solidarity across social strata as well as ecological responsibility.
The agenda heavily focuses on the redistribution of wealth from the top down, the strengthening of trade unions, and a massive expansion of the public sector, particularly in healthcare and housing. Razem champions the cause of precariously employed youth, the urban intelligentsia, and the working class who feel marginalized by the system. On social policy, the party advocates for radically progressive stances: demanding the legalization of abortion, full equality for the LGBTQ+ community, and an end to the financial privileges of the Catholic Church.
Strategically, Razem serves as a moral and ideological corrective within the Polish party system. While other left-wing alliances often engage in pragmatic power politics, Razem prioritizes adherence to principles and programmatic depth, making it a challenging but distinctive coalition partner. Its relationship with the rule of law is characterized by deep respect for democratic institutions, combined with a demand to democratize them through greater citizen participation and transparency, and to protect them from the influence of oligarchs and lobbyists.
