The party's foundation rests on the protection of ethnic identity and the strengthening of Christian-conservative values. Its worldview is shaped by the conviction that national minorities require collective rights to permanently safeguard their language and culture. In this view, the state is seen less as a centralizing actor and more as a guarantor of diversity and regional self-governance.

The agenda heavily focuses on the economic and infrastructural development of Southern Slovakia, where the Hungarian minority predominantly resides. Key demands include the expansion of mother-tongue education, the legal recognition of Hungarian as an official language in affected regions, and tax incentives for economically disadvantaged border areas. The party primarily targets the rural population, farmers, and small entrepreneurs of Hungarian descent, but also caters to conservative voters who support traditional family policies and a restrictive stance on migration.

Strategically, the Alliance acts as a kingmaker, trading stability for minority rights in coalition negotiations. While formally upholding the rule of law, its demand for collective minority rights regularly sparks tensions with Slovak nationalists. Furthermore, in the Slovak political landscape, it constantly battles against the fragmentation of Hungarian votes and the 5% electoral threshold.
