The foundation of the ZP is an uncompromising Turkish nationalism, coupled with the principles of early Kemalism. Its worldview is shaped by the vision of an ethnically and culturally homogeneous nation. Here, the state and nation merge into a singular entity that must be defended against external and internal influences. In contrast to religiously conservative currents, the party emphasizes militant secularism, yet views Turkish identity as the crucial cornerstone of state order.
The core agenda of the ZP is its insistent call for the large-scale repatriation of refugees and migrants, particularly from Syria and Afghanistan. It specifically targets voters who attribute economic hardship and social tensions to migration. Beyond its migration policy, the party advocates for robust protectionism and an autarkic economy. Its target demographic primarily includes young, nationalist urbanites and those disillusioned with the established right-wing spectrum, who perceive traditional parties as too moderate.
Strategically, the Zafer Partisi acts as a populist challenger, breaking taboos and shifting the political debate further to the right. It employs aggressive rhetoric to accuse established institutions of failing in border security. While formally invoking Atatürk's legacy, its radical exclusion of certain population groups often creates tension with liberal rule-of-law standards. It functions as a kinetic element within the party system, compelling other political actors to define their positions.
